Nebo Blueline 5597 Black Reviews
17 of 18 people found the following review helpful Excellent for the price., Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Nebo Blueline 5597 (Gray) (Misc.) At the time i bought this flashlight i couldn't decide between the redline and the blueline series' from Nebo. so i bought them both. there are nice pros to both flashlights, and comforting enough very few or no cons. The blueline is cheaper, not by much, but 5-10 dollars depending on where you buy it, also has a clip, has a light output of 150 lumens, and has two modes; full brightness or strobe. the redline costs more(the opposite of cheaper!), has no clip, light output of 220 lumens; and has five modes; 100%, 50%, 10%, SOS mode, and strobe mode. the clip on the blueline sucks, it never stays on anything. however it is nice to have the only 2 modes that matter, full power and strobe. the redline gets annoying have to switch between so many modes, when most of them you would never use, there is no way to skip them if you wanted to go from say full power to strobe, you still have to cycle thru all of them. these both have magnetic bases, however they both suck. they work but are very... I was issued one of these at work, to aid in inspecting product and working on equipment. This has to be the coolest flashlight that I have ever used. It is small and compact enough to carry every day. The magnetic base is probably the best feature, allowing me to stick the light to the hood of my truck, or on a machine at work so I can use it hands free.I am amazed at the light output for only using one AA battery. On flood it will light up most of my backyard. On spot it throws light a pretty good distance for such a compact light. I can tell that It would also make a great self defense tool. At close proximity, the strobe function is quite disorienting (my wife shined it in my face) and the front of the light has some pretty aggressive teeth, which would be quite unpleasant to have jammed in ones face. A coworker pointed out that if it were dropped, the teeth would also serve to protect the lens from ground impact. On the downside,...
